- Longest running batch-wise distillery bottlings. Ever.
Batches can very significantly. This is a good batch. There have been better ones, and lesser ones. Interesting!
- Intense nose, taste and finish. And a lot of it. Look for a good batch, and buy!!!
w/o water: alcohol, dark chocolate. Oranges. Dark fruits.
w/ water: Toned down, but with more definition. Chocolate, Citrus, soaked/canned dark fruits. Buttery. Hot spices.
w/o water - sweet fruit arrival. Alcohol development to warm ripe fruit.
w/ water - beautiful, soft fruits arrival. Develops into clearly defined citrus and sweet oranges.
Warm finish of sweet oranges, bitter citrus, sherry, chocolate. And long. Very VERY long.
- I liked batch 37 more
fresh, citrus, orange, quickly changing into something sweet and spicy, leather, gingerbread
sweet and strong alcohol
sweet and woody with smoke traces
- Color: Deep amber
Nose: Powerful sherry start. Rich on dried
and ripe fruit, earth, oak, pepper, sultanas, figs, malt sweetness,
tangerines. Needs a couple of minutes to settle and open properly.
Taste: Sweet, smooth and oily. Very good! Nuts,
almonds, ripe fruit, cherry, pepper, caramel, vanilla. After some
minutes herbal notes and spice begin to be more prominent: black and
white pepper, nutmeg, pine needles and tobacco leaves. With water it
gets more custardy and herbal. Complex and rich.
Finish: Medium-length Mon Chéri`ed finish. Vinous and spicy. Very enjoyable in general.Needs a couple of minutes to open up. Better with water, it wipes out its sourest tinges.
