    • Taste
tart-sweet, sherry, salty, milk chocolate, dried plums, plum jam, fruity & smoky on the palate, camphor, menthol - sweet-bitter-herb-pleasant, herbs and some floral - and smoke with salt and bitter wood in sherry

  2. Gearmailteach scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

A great dram, intense and complex.
    • Nose
Intense sherry flavors. Cherry in maple syrup. Chocolate, rum flavor and fudge with brown sugar. Intricate spices, clove, anise and some leather.
    • Taste
Creamy like balsamic. First a sharp start, then again intense dark sherry and cherry flavors. Milk chocolate, caramel, spices. Old, dry wood and heather honey.
    • Finish
Long and bittersweet with fruit, chocolate, spices and some oak.

Blindtasting WL Just the color in the sample bottle is very dark. I'll conclude with a 1Fst Fill Sherry or Portreifung. Wow, what an intense dirty and earthy nose. Very spicy and many many herbs. This is almost a herb garden in a week of June. Then a central heather note with dark fruits.
In the mouth a lot of chocolate, coffee and roasted aromas. Creamy sweets and some spiced ketchup. The finish is medium long and dirty spicy with an earthy base note.
    Thanks AS!

Great "dirty" and nice interplay between sweet and salty. wlk 17-12
    • Nose
He starts with a wonderful dirtiness in the nose: In sherry drowned raisins with freshly tapped match. Dark in character, earthy, musty. Lots of chocolate, lots of coffee. Dried and sulphured plums. In addition damp forest soil, wet leaves, rotting deadwood.
    • Taste
Creamy and sweet-salty at the beginning, strong, and yet insinuating. Hu, the salt creeps into every void ... But nice interplay between salt and dried fruit like dates, plums and raisins. Herbe herbs, seasoning of oak. Salsify! Again chocolate notes, now darker than in the nose. After a while, a cooling menthol note sets in.
    • Finish
Medium long, sherry sweet and still salt and herb remains on the tongue.

Nose: musty dark sherry (sulphurous raisins and plums), wet autumn foliage, burnt brown sugar, caramel, a hint of musty smoke (flies over time completely), bitter herbs and wet wood, the alcohol is there too (but more with menthol freshness and not snappy) Smells like a GD Allardice in CS before the bottling was pulled through the dirt again ^ ^ Damn I love so dirty sherry bombs with slight earthiness and sulfur!

Taste: surprisingly soft but then it rears up and the alcohol comes, what sherry sweetness but also a pinch of salt (?), With lots of brown sugar sweetened herbal tea, warm dates, plum wine, medium-long finish with a lot of roasted malt, plums, sweet sherry and neat mellow wood that brings good bitterness. Wow - what a flavor. The finish is indeed intense but also fast Degrading and can not quite keep up with the nose and the start.
Wow what sherry board and you are the creamy and supple in the mouth. Great drop! Just the right mix of sweetness and "dirtiness" I love!
    Notes from a blind tasting!

I give him 90 points because he is delicious and interesting. Definitely a character whisky
    • Nose
Sulfur, sherry, root vegetables, slightly metallic, old bottle flavor, wet wood, slightly musty, sweetish, but also spicy oak notes. Exciting thing.
    • Taste
strong, salty, bitter oak, sherry, herbs, the cooked root vegetables is there too, but not so strong.
    • Finish
slightly murderous oak, now beautiful, nutty, sherry notes, something "dirty". Bitter-sweet and spicy.

This earthy, clayey note increases in intensity after some time. A malt that wins with ventilation.

  9. Xaver did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    • Nose
The bunny comes with ripe, dark cherries. The whole part comes very ripe and set, oily over. Some smoke comes through. Not intrusive, but so floating with. Dark, pickled berries. Nice chocolate note spreads. Also smells like an old card game. Some nutty bitterness and damp pipe tobacco. Lacquered wood. Bit of lovage and spices. I could smell it forever. Meets 100% of my taste.
    • Taste
Oily, dense onset. He makes the cheeks full. Pickled cherries. Dark, ripe berries. The chocolate is then rather men's chocolate. In the taste also Italian herbs and this trace smoke, which makes the whole picture very cool completely. Nutty bitterness and slightly sour citrus notes. Moist tobacco. Pleasant Bizzeln in the mouth of the alcohol. Which I think is very well integrated and plays well.
    • Finish
Long, oily. Something bitter espresso with liquid chocolate.

Beautiful pleasant dusty sulfur nose, dark berries, men's chocolate, with water it is fruity-sweeter.

Wonderfully oily in the mouth, overripe berries, orange zest, on the finish it is warm, espresso and dry, delicious. Too bad that I have only a rest in the sample ... unfortunately not to get more
