This Littlemill representative is also wonderful. I can't decide if I would prefer this one or the Single Cask Collection. Thanks to T. for sharing in Limburg and allowing me to take the last drops for a review.

    • Nose
      89 89
Lemon and fruity liquor, as well as green and grassy notes. Mild seed oils over a slightly fermenting pineapple.
    • Taste
      90 90
Beautifully fruity with bananas, tangerines and lemons. And there's that grassy side again that's attributed to the Lowlands.
    • Finish
      90 90
The fruit lingers and forms a beautiful finish. There is also a tart liquorice note and some bitter substances from the fruit skins.

    Whiskyfun:

Colour: straw. Nose: starts citric and grassy, I’d add ‘as it should be’. Lime, cut grass and grapefruits… Then more almond oil and putty, turmeric, menthol, soot and a little linseed oil. All pretty perfect so far, very elegant and self-restrained, with a slightly phenolic side. With water: the soot comes out more, coal smoke, more putty, green bananas… Very, very nice for sure. Mouth (neat): very clean, zesty, grassy, lemony, very nervous and eminently rieslingesque. A very nice liquoricy bitterness as well, making it even sharper – in a nice way of course. With water: perfect. More fruits came out, tangerines, cranberries… Finish: medium long, ultra-clean, zesty, with more liquorice in the aftertaste. Comments: another great Littlemill. To think that the distillery was so despised when it was active (and standing!) SGP:462 - 90 points.

One of the best Littlemills I have ever tasted - recommended!
    • Nose
Smooth, very aromatic and fruity at first nosing. Has a strong aroma of ripe citrus fruits (lemons and oranges) with additional vanilla and caramel, hay and cereals. An excellent nose.
    • Taste
Surprisingly powerful attack all on bold and tasty aromas, mainly fruity ripe oranges and toffee with a peppery spicyness and a honey sweetness. Wow! Leckerschmecker!
    • Finish
Long, remains pleasant. Juicy liquorice is coming up.
