Whisky Reviews for Dalmore 15-year-old
10 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.07 points
- Enjoyable whisky, that "experts" hate.
Surprisingly heavy and creamy. Soaked chocolate cake, malt beer, oranges, almonds and many overripe apples and pears. Later also echoes of lovage.
Soft and creamy. Sherry tonic, nuts, gingerbread, some smoke and soaked chocolate cake and almond paste. Is getting nuttier, fatter and more difficult.
Sherry and very almond.
- He would interest me with 46% Alc and Non Chill filtered.
Sweet malt, cinnamon, star anise, bacon mice, bitter almond, cocoa beans, orange peel, cloves,
Bittersweet spiced bread, roasted almonds, star anise
Spicy, fresh, pleasant. Long-lasting.
- Dalmore 15 years, original bottling, 40% alc.
Expansion: Ex-sherry casks
Region: Highlands, Scotland
Nose: Since I jump to very interesting flavors, smells a little like my humidor, only much sweeter. With liquid chocolate, something like brownie dough. There are also citrus fruits, especially oranges. Also join winter spices and ginger tea to it. ...
Palate: Heavy like syrup with a nice dose of oak. In addition, I find notes of licorice and oranges.
Finish: medium length, some menthol and a dry (smoke?) Note. At the end of the departure like espresso.
Conclusion: Low alcohol content does not always have to be bad, beautiful bottling of Dalmore with many facets of Sherryfassreifung.
86/100 points (tasted 2014, price about 50-60 €)

- TASTING NOTES:
NOSE - A chocolate orange. Potpourri, perfumed. Fruitcake, sherry.
PALATE - Medium, lovely delivery. Zesty orange, Blue Curaçao, chocolate. Winter spice, stem ginger in syrup. Hints of anise and a little hickory.
FINISH - Malty barley and smoky espresso
- The 2007-released 15 year old, this bottling was matured in matusalem, apostoles and amoroso sherry casks and proffers all those winter spice, orange zest and chocolate notes characteristic of Dalmore.
