Whisky Reviews for Coleburn 1980 DL
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 88.12 points
- Pleasant oily, sour, fruity and grassy flavors.
Floral. Cut grass, citruses, lacquered wood, vanilla and caramel.
Powerful and oily. Citruses, spicy oak, waxy fruits, honey, caramel, peat and cut grass.
Long, spicy, dry.
- This has a nice fruity, grassy % peaty combo at first nosing followed by a little varnish.
The palate at 50% is a little harsh with the fruit coming through and the grassy side remaining but not much fruit on show here
The finish is long but not particularly memorable.
In truth this is like many Coleburn offerings , it is decent but hardly exciting.
