- Barolo is my preferred red-wine, but I was not able to figure out that this 12yo single malt scotch was finished in Barolo casks.
- At room temperature a nice sweet perfume note in the nose over time comes through an almond aroma, slightly metallic in the mouth followed by a warming marzipan spice potpourri.
- Blindtasting: Another delicious and interesting malt. I would not buy it, but it continues to make great :) I guess 48%, Speyside, max. ten years
Fresh, almost pungent alcohol note. Did you get used to it you will find a lot of sweet and a little spicy. Reminds me next to raisins and other dark fruits also on light grapes and honey.
Grapes, Oloroso Sherry, gets spicier and tartier at the back, Sherry more and more clear.
Very nutty, nice sherry, a bit woody, medium long
- Fruity aroma, heather honey, orange, nutmeg,
apple and malt. Medium sweet taste, ginger, grapefruit, walnuts,
eucalyptus and malt. Medium long, malty and winey end.
