Verdict: This is a quality dram, my friend. Sure, it's not very complex, but it's viscous, with lots of vanilla and buttercream, in a background of shaved coconuts and some sweet white stone fruits. A hint of lychee even. It's not overtly fruity like some of these 20something year old Irish whiskies by any means, but the cask strength and its inherent quality makes this quite enjoyable. The ending is probably its weakest point.
I went from an 84 to 88 points.
