Whisky Reviews for Mortlach 1992 IM

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.33 points

  1. Hemdl scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Not bad, but also no whisky, which stands out. The port finish had only moderate influence (apart from the color), in the finish for my taste too dry and slightly bitter.
For the price, there are better bottlings.
    • Nose
Dark fruits, slightly alcoholic. A slightly acidic note that gradually recedes over time. A few prunes and raisins, not spectacular.
    • Taste
For a short time, she flashes sweet fruity notes from the nose, then the oak gets much stronger. A few fruits are still noticeable, but overall they are well below expectations.
    • Finish
Rather short, slightly dry. Here dominate the tannins, the fruit notes are not really through. Too bad.
