Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Sweet and thick. Syrupy notes of sticky toffee pudding, vanilla and
fresh, homemade fudge. Just delicious. Hints of apple, a little touch of
    ginger and orange zest.
Fresh, spicy, rich palate. Surprisingly fresh, as notes of freshly cut
hay, tangy green oak and vanilla. It becomes creamy, with hints of
    spotted dick with hot custard.
Finish: Sweet, medium-length finish, with some sweetness. Dried fruits, green oak.

This Glenfarclas has an absolutely Interesting nose. Although it has this heavy Sherried indluence, there is still a nice freshness you'll find. These both Charakteristics are combined with a Kind of glue (maybe UHU) what I really like.
The Taste is a Bit Different. You'll feel The Heavy Sherried influence, which won't let The Wood come through.

So, To me there is a dry bitterness of The sherry, what I don't like that much. I want to Taste The cask much more.

If you like heavy sherried Whisky, try this. If you want to taste more Distillery Characeristics this one will Not be a whole bottle for you.

    from a purchased sample
    • Nose
Oh my. Toffee, caramel, fudge, and a few trace notes of sherry and red
fruit wafting in the middle. Rich and powerful, this is satisfying. A
little like syrup and thick treacle-honey syrup. Demerara rum, vanilla,
and there's an interesting grassy note. You get the idea. More burned
      fruity spice cake.
    • Taste
Very nice, just a bit linear. Very quickly to coffee, and then more
subtle notes of fudge, honey, and burned molasses. Surprisingly light on
the tongue and not quite the monster that the nose suggested.
    • Finish
More of teh same, along with some fine toasted coffee, pinch of salt,
and fig shavings. It's really excellent and the nose is top notch. The
palate could have used a bit more depth and complexity

Color: Old Gold Aroma: Powerful, Siruptoffee, Caramel. Taste: Very fresh, much less sweet on the palate than you on the nose. Grassy earthy notes that also push their way through. Finish: Medium length, nice taste of freshly cut grass.

Tasting Notes by Dave Broom for Whisky MagazineNose
Quite "open", even exposed, initially - there`s wood, scented candles and

incense - very religious! In time, a lovely dustiness takes over: rose

Less dusty than the nose with more deep fruits,

liquorice and a burnt edge. Seasonally it`s late autumn with stout shoes

    tramping over wet leaves.

    Long and Solid and Full.

A big, bold statement and with great balance between cask and spirit.

Producer`s Tasting NotesPowerful, treacle toffee, fudge. Like a freshly made pan of tablet and licking thick vanilla goo off a metal spoon.

Very fresh, a lot less sweet on the palate than you were experiencing

on the nose. Grassy earthy notes also pushing their way through.

Medium finish Glenfarclas, lovely taste of fresh cut grass.
