Whisky Reviews for Dufftown 1982 BR
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.00 points
- Color : light gold or apple juice. Nose : oak, vanilla, bisquit, gugelhupf. Very fruity, fruit cake, citrus (Grape). Ginger, tobacco, spicy and sour. Body : mostly firm. Taste : Very kräutrig and vanilla, ginger cake, dry-sweet and spicy. Finish: long, spicy, okay and plenty of Citrus. With water : becomes more acidic, citric in flavor; The taste is dry, bitter and also here a lot of citrus. Points: 74
N: Toasted banana cake, yeasty. Full of spirit, in both senses!
T: Sharp ethanol hit with spices and fruits on the high palate. Acute indeed
F: Bubblegum and caramel sweetness initially but then comes the [fennel/aniseed] fresh, oh so fresh and ‘super’ clean finish. Banana cake comes back again to compliment the oak and aniseed freshness, overlapping one other like waves of flavour.
C: Super fresh and full of acute spirit. This is not to my taste preference but i can appreciate that this is very good malt. Berry Bros. and Rudd consistently produce these fine and idiosyncratic bottlings, fantastic!

- "The nose gives bright citrus and vanilla
notes mingled with grassy, oaky, brazil nut nuances. There is a little
grape stalk and lime. The palate is lively and fattens to reveal toasted
oak, liquorice, blackcurrant and fizzing citrus. A smooth and somewhat
savoury finish rounds off the experience."
