  1. Andytka3 scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    Nose:-
Complex nature and multi layers. Firstly the distant airy woodfire ash
swirl around old leather, root herbs, and cherry. Wet carpet emerge and
bring along some light decay notes. Finally spices, sweet cinnamon stick
    and ginger.

Palate:- Generally sweet on palate, matured and mellow. Heavy sherry notes. Soft gingery hot with tartness of berries.

Finish:- Medium length, warming, silky. Rounded and mellow.

"A 1975 vintage single cask whisky from lost distillery Banff, closed in

1983 and destroyed by fire in 1991. This was bottled by Douglas Laing as

part of their Platinum Selection in July 2011 at 42.4% after 35 years

    in the cask."
