For me the "Corry" is the best Ardbeg from the standard range.
The first nosing hits me with heavy smoke and peat. After adding a few drops of water, the situation relaxes. Smoky peat now rises from the glass with a touch of fruit. A light hint of vanilla and spices mixes with the smoke and peat.
Undiluted the first sip. Wow, again heavy peat and smoke. Powerfully I hit the full load Islay in the face. After adding a few drops of water, the "Corry" releases a fruity sweetness, which combines pleasantly with the peat and smoke. Again spices and a hint of vanilla.
What a powerful and powerful finish. Again smoke and peat, typical Islay.
