    Two more Millburn’s back to back: 1971 G&M & 34yo DL
N: Occasional wafts of smoked oiliness amongst fusty/dusty apple cider, fermented orange & tomato juice with entwined vanilla=caramel notes, hollandaise sauce/glossy emulsion and a slight processed meatiness [sausages/ham]. With time theres some plastics, putty, paper mache and [suet/flour] dumplings making this an ominous start indeed.
T: Quite a miss mash of conflicting activity here. Rather dry, spirity/soapy esters dominate proceedings before a wave of vanillas before a fresh-bitterness rushes into the finish.
F: Light, spirity vanillas lead into a vague oily, woody, aniseed freshness, The orange juice makes a comeback as does the emulsion. Confusion remains
C: Theres lots to talk about but little of it desirable. Lets hope the 34yo OMC fares better.  Coming back to this a week later, the putty-malt greets the fermented fruits as before, close to clotted cream but hinting at a move towards the infamous Durian fruit - and Im done.

Nothing really interesting going on here. Slightly dusty and oily, but doesn't show the full CC series character.
Feels flat, weak and doesn't have the complexity some of the other CC bottlings have. Although this is a light whisky that you might wanna keep for having it on a hot summer night, i would suggest to leave it for a couple of minutes in your glass so it can open up a bit more.
Not one of the best bottlings from G&M CC series.
I recommend to skip this one, they're plenty of other Millburn bottlings to try out from the CC series and G&M.
