A very nice hearty Port Ellen for guys who like it hotter and stronger, a better version of Ardbeg ...;)
    • Nose
Oily, very earthy smoke as otherwise only from gloomy Ardbegs, cherry pits and pebbles, tar, sticky algae, citric acid, balsamic, lavender and rosemary, oregano, nutmeg, black pepper, zucchini, walnut, autumn leaves
    • Taste
Lavender, rosemary, black pepper, zucchini, green peppers, algae, walnut, oregano, lime, ash, peat, nutmeg, ginger, anise, what a force behind it, nicely full, rye bread, malt, young leather
    • Finish
Dry salty, pepper, algae, malt, tannins and oak, still very present, orange peel, autumn leaves, long to very long

    OMG that PE was amazing...
first some mineral, salty sea on the nose then some fruit iodine ash, and some flowery scents, stones washed by the sea
then on the palette intense taste, citrus fruits, salt, seaweed, some maltines ,lot of flavours changing and evolving
the finish is lasting with that smokienes, salty fruity notes
    amazing dram!

Aroma: extremely intense, sea at sunrise, seafood, wet stones, old pharmacy facilities, fire site, flowering meadow, honey, seaweed, unripe Hungarian, Wieliczka,
Taste: sweet peat first hit, brine, sea, seaweed, fire, coal, honey comes out, some metals, rust, fire again, pharmacy, iodine
    Finish: peat-carbon-honey
    Score: 9.5

Nose- Sea waves, salt, iodine, clear seashells, a wet campfire, delicate earthiness, with herbal notes, a bit of citrus, floral. THERE IS A MONSTER!
Taste - ash, brine, seaweed, seafood, the sweetness of vanilla, pharmacy, iodine, copper? green nuts, alcohol at almost 64% do not bother at all.
Finish- lasting- extinguishing the fire, salty stones, turns into sweeter mid-citrus notes.
96 beautiful sea profile for me!

    Finish: peat-carbon-honey
    Rating: 9.5

Good Port Ellen, fresh, cool and well-integrated smoke in a spicy-fresh whisky.

    Needs time in the glass.

A masculine, massive PE with enormous power.

Just pretty hard. If you give it properly water, it is an excellent substance: still plenty of power, but also rich volume; intense, typical Bourbon barrel PE aromas (maritime, mineral, fresh citrus, smoke, tar and leather). Enough abundance that balances the power. Makes a lot of fun.

a smoky whisky with bitter elements
rather tart than sweet, slightly sourish sweetness
    gives a somewhat bumpy impression
    many flavors can be drowned
    Overall, not consistent
    • Nose
Smoke reminiscent of freshly glued linoleum floor
behind it sweet fruit, if you give it time> ripe apple
      > Vanilla> delicate orange> slightly nutty
    • Taste
Tobacco smoke,> sweetness, dark chocolate> which becomes slightly bitter at the back and cigarette smoke,
    • Finish
Long, bitter, oranges, glue, smoke> gets better> salty spice and peat
Short burning sharpness in the throat
Last memory something pleasantly nutty and sour sweetness
