Excellent light summer whisky, pleasant and unusual profile, I don't want to write anything about it, I just want to drink slowly
    • Nose
      89 89
Green fruits, sour grapes, iodine and medicine, unusual, rich and harmonious
    • Taste
      88 88
pine needles with oil and lemon, sour green apples
    • Finish
      89 89
green tea with spruce needles, a drop of lemon, field herbs, medium duration with pleasant sourness

I tried this bottling once before and my first impression was that it is rather artificially fruity but now this one is quite fresh and austere fruity, so not artificial at all.
The variance of these 8yo old dumpy bottlings is very high and so you can have everything from a rather average old whisky up to an excellent fruit bomb.
This one I tried from a freshly opened bottle and it is somewhere in the upper half of the possible bandwidth -
    really not bad
    • Nose
      90 90
Lemon peel, pink grapefruit, honeydew, vanilla, spices, little metallic, some OBE, whiffs of smoke, old books, pretty austere - really not bad
    • Taste
      90 90
Punchy, oily, fruity subtle sweetness, more lemon peel, more grapefruit, citrusy, little herbal, cigar tobacco, hints of peat, wet hay, little leafy and grassy - pretty good
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium long, warm, more zesty, herbal, peaty

BEautiful obe, herbs, toffee some yellow fruits, varnish, very nice.

This is really surprising - in a blind tasting I would guess that this is some apricot liquor from Valais which is a canton in southern Switzerland famous for their fruity spirits. I have never tasted a whisky like this and actually it doesn't taste like whisky - even though I like this kind of spirits it's suspicious to me...
    • Nose
      85 85
Intense apricot jam, beeswax, also some hints of green fruits and green apples, notes of glue and solvent
    • Taste
      84 84
Oily, fruity, quite some sweetness, again apricots galore, overripe fruits, fragrant, little soapy notes - almost a bit artificial
    • Finish
      83 83
      Medium long, sweet

    The thing is absolutely beautiful.
Sour apples, wax and polish ...
    Long finish ...
    Good balance.

    Balance (22)
Excellent result for 8 yo Not rich in nuances (I think it was a little exhausted in a bottle over time), but the grapefruit theme caught me. (89)
    • Nose
Glue, brilliant green and grass ... lots of grapefruit and wax ... dusty cardboard ... sea buckthorn on the farm (22.5)
    • Taste
Liquid grapefruit and nettle with fir cone (22.5)
    • Finish
Spices and citrus, wax and wood (22)
