A decent Bowmore, where I miss a little bit the fruitiness. Although often fruity elements, whereby the sharpness and the spicy wood tones dominate. Nevertheless, I find this Bowmore very successful. Tastes!
    • Nose
Fruity and mineral peat rises powerfully from the glass, thick drops stick to the glass wall while the mineral peat mixes with a very subtle smoke. Some salt is in the air, wet wood is mixed with bananas and peaches, a hint of apricots and oranges is added. Sweet fruit notes alternate with peat and salt, the alcohol is perfectly integrated.
    • Taste
Dirty peat and sea salt mix at the beginning of the first sip to a harsh and discreetly bitter mass. Spicy wood and mixes powerfully with sweet fruit elements, slowly developing a salty and peppery pungency. The resulting sharpness stimulates massively the salivation, old pieces of wood rest on the palate. Malty sweetness and dark fruit flavors emerge, salty and tart the Bowmore runs down the throat. Again, the sharpness burns on the tongue, a small fire blazes on the palate, walnuts fall in the embers and exude their bitter and bitter walnut aroma. Slowly, the heat fades and the taste goes voluminous and sharp in the finish.
    • Finish
The salty and peppery pungency still sticks to the tongue, the old and dry wood elements return, a fine peat and smoke aroma lies discreetly in the background. The salty sea breeze appears shortly before the finish ends wooden with a fine peat note. Woody, nutty, salty and slightly smoky. You can not describe the departure better. For a long time the tasty and varied aromas resound, a subtle and pleasant sharpness surrounds the palate and leaves the Bowmore in memory for a long time. The salty and peppery pungency still sticks to the tongue, the old and dry wood elements return, a fine peat and peat Smoke aroma is subtly in the background. The salty sea breeze appears shortly before the finish ends wooden with a fine peat note.

    Only a short note:
Nose: Burnt rubber, seasalt, phenol. A bit sulphur. Overripe fruits. Grapefruit. Citrus notes.
Mouth: Tickling, the young age is now recognizeable. Seems unround. Bitter, from the young age. Burning. Nothing really develops here.
Finish: A bit vinegar, then smoke. Like licking a grapefruits outer layer. Mouth gets glazed, almost numbed. Aromes are gone pretty fast. The coated feeling stays and feels unpleasant to me.

Conlusion: 78/100 a bit disappointing. Nose was the best and reminded me of Laphroaig. Must have been a strange cask.
