  1. Igor scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Strong, fiery and caustic here and there, and yet mild and mellow - if it does make sense, clean, substantial, richly flavoured summer-style dram.
    • Nose
Floral bouquet, large bunch of asters, gladioli and tulips mixed together, followed by fresh grassy plants, dewy verdure crispiness, also fructose, white table grapes, lime fruit, greengage, dried pear, unripe bananas. In addition, thin vanillic fumes come through, crème caramel dessert and honey.
    • Taste
Modest walnut astringency as well as mild spiciness carried by cardamom, cloves, nutmeg. It sweetens onward in the form of curd tart/cheesecake, raisin cake, white currants, apple, apple skin. At first quite sappy (dandelion sap?), then getting dryer, avocado, linseed oil?, a little oaky too, dried coriander, candied orange peel. Clean light body, seemingly, not watery though, which is so unlikely.
    • Finish
Brisk, tangy, lingering herbal mouthfeel, pretty long, lasts with nice balance. Leaf lettuce, celery, anise, white pepper, marjoram, small nip of spearmint, lemon rind, oak, spare vanilla crops up, nutty, creamy green tea, sesame.

    This is very good
stuff, mind you, with more spices than I can name, without losing itself in
    them. Top!
    • Nose
      The nose is very
herbaceous and reminds me of a wild prairie with ferns, rhododendrons and wet
grasses. But also nettles. Luckily there is a lot of fruitiness in the shape of
gooseberries, raisins and mirabelles. Quite a lot of spices, all fresh from the
      garden. A little waxy, like
tiger balm. Mint and sugared lime peel keep it fresh. Honey is the last to come
out to play. Very good, indeed. Adding
water brings out more of the grasses and sugared lime peel.
    • Taste
      It is wonderfully
creamy and warming on the palate, with all kinds of sweet fruits. Apples and
gooseberries are in the lead. A hint of brown sugar and even some nuts. The
spices return. Midpalate, it becomes somewhat bitter from the oak, but never
over the top nor drying. It can take water, but does not need it.
    • Finish
      The finish is long
and sweet, with the focus on the grass and plants.
