    A as in Ardbeg

Generally speaking it is a very nice dram indeed, complex spite the fact that it's only 46% abv.

      Blender`s Glass

Varnish, soot, cotton, not that smoky as you would expect, very very floral, some asian spices, new wood, very vibrant scent, some sherry nuances.

After 20 minutes of time, spent matches, fireworks, delicate hint of dry milk, subtle smoke and vanilla beans. Caramel and toffee, smoked ofc, more minerality.
    • Taste
      93 93
Initial thought - the bomb in a mouth, what a mouthfeel that is! tar, sweetness, it's like chewing on ruberoid roofing during hot summer day, dates, burnt rubber, old wet leather, milk, menthol?
    • Finish
      93 93
Long and soothing finish, full of walnuts, tar is present, tobacco leaves and ash, salted caramel in the very very end.

Nose- warm smoke, sherry, sea salt, a lot of ripe fruit, minerally,
Taste - a combination of the sea aromas with hot ham from the fire, a lot of ripe, even overripe fruit, there is a hospital notes, I would not say that it is only 46%, it is rich and complex.
Finish - long, warm ash, sea, dried plum, with a citrus break, coffee and slightly salty caramel appear.

93/94 for me the most, I would try CS!

    • Taste
Drier smoke, ash, wood, menthol, spicy, a bit of sherry sweetness.
    • Finish
Peat, smoke, a bit of sweetness, salt, menthol.

Impressive Lord of Isles, very exciting and with a lot of depth, everything very well integrated.
    • Nose
      96 96
Fine citric smoke, dried transformer lacquer interwoven with nutmeg, gentle cold peat smoke, maritime, iodine, melon oil. Very refined, well balanced with a clear gradation of depth and very high intensity.
    • Taste
      95 95
Citrus, fine smoke, maritime, iodine, candy, delicate chocolate. Pronounced aroma pressure with full body and perfect texture.
    • Finish
      95 95
Fine smoke, citrus, malty, somewhat peppery. Slightly sweet, somewhat salty, good gradation and a long finish.

A rather smooth expression of an Ardbeg and very balanced and thus very enjoyable. Very good!
    • Nose
Soft peat and smoke, citrus notes, bananas, toasted bread, little vanilla
    • Taste
Punchy but also smooth and liquorice, subtle sweetness, rather soft peat and smoke for a typical Ardbeg, little fruitiness
    • Finish
Medium long, soft, very little zesty
