  1. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 94 points Connoisseur

He is very close to the best of the cousins of the "Speyside Regions" from the 70s & 60s (Caperdonich & GF), he has the tropics of them and a perfect balance with a lot of strength.
    • Nose
Great fruit basket showered with honey, glazed apples, peach, pear compote, macadamia nuts, fresh mango, papaya, tick pineapple, cantaloupe, orange, lemongrass, candied ginger, clear fino sherry again, vanilla, cinnamon
    • Taste
Whole nougat, apples, orange, pineapple, papaya, honeydew melon, pears, hazelnut, nice waxy notes, tropical honey, brown sugar, licorice, tobacco, linen bags
    • Finish
Marzipan, pear, tobacco, green and red apple, sweet malt, almonds, long

Loads of fruitiness. Quite tropical. A terrific nose. Hints of mint.

Love it.... Not super complex, but it is super delicious. Perfect strength, feels bigger than 50%. A warming mouthfeel. Good oak, definitely not egregious, but it is present. Probably a refill sherry oak, which is the best kind of oak, in my opinion. Cinnamon, caramel, ginger, leather. Still fruity, but less tropical now compared to nose. Very good stuff.
    • Finish

A bit dry on the finish, but lingering juiciness. A bit more oak the longer it stays on the tongue.
