Whisky Reviews for Longmorn 1968 Sc

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 91.00 points

  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

A very woody and spicy Longmorn in my opinion.
    • Nose
Lots of polished oakiness. Beeswax. Fresh pencil shavings. Sawdust. Flowery notes of violets. A bit chalky as well.
    • Taste
Figs and dates. Firm oak. Meaty notes. Cinnamon. Spices of black pepper and cloves.
    • Finish
Long and dry. Bitter-sweetness. Tanninic. Becomes salty at the end.

  2. Baanaanaabob scored this whisky 91 points Connoisseur

Honey, some tropical fruits, close to the 73 speysiders, very nice

  3. Dram Dracula scored this whisky 92 points Connoisseur

This is a huge whisky. When the bottle was first opened, the oakiness and spice were just too much. Now, as the bottle is nearing its end, much of the oak has disappeared, and the huge fruitiness really comes to the fore. You really need to be patient with this one. I would recommend adding much water and waiting at least 30 min in glass with this one. Once you get there, this whisky is first rate!
