Many thanks to Rampah for this extraordinary dram - a great piece that wants to be discovered and patience is generously rewarded - it is as complex as a Mannochmore 25 SR only it looks much more natural - much better interwoven and much more exciting anyway
    • Nose
      92 92
first wax, then grassy aromas with a subtle sweet and sour fruit note, the wax note changes into wet hay with more closeness and warmth, a little cowshed - in short I thought of Ledaigstyle - but then it doesn't appear in the nose anymore, you give it time first you see sour apple juice from the cardboard box, then apricot jam which turns into an exotic fruit salad - he likes hand-warmth
    • Taste
      93 93
dirty cowshed peat with salty exotic fruits - crazy - as if you were to cross a super delicious luscious exotic fruity lossie with a medium-sized Lediag and add retro peat, some cannabis, stone flour, slightly dry tree juice liquorice, liquorice, apricot jam, Nimm2Bonbon - everything is great interwoven, very buttery oily creamy - simply "broad" therefore - for under 50% a very long chewable aroma monster without which the alcohol would somehow disturb me

      an originality extra point :)
    • Finish
      90 90
salty, sugar crust, lemon, herbal tea, thyme, mugwort, liquorice - pleasant sage / cocoa bitterness

    • Nose
      First impression:
Sweet & slightly sour at the same time.
Wet hay bales (straw bales). You could also say fermented mash. Aromas of cherry rolli are added.

      Second impression:
Strong aromas of leather & dry Oloroso sherry, followed by apple juice. Coffee, spices and oak wood can be found in the background.
    • Taste
Although this loss is at an optimal ABV of
~ 48% should actually develop pleasantly, it burns extremely on the tongue. Only a few flavors come to light, such as sweet sherry & arugula.

      With water:
      Much more pleasant mouthfeel.
However, there is a lot of acid involved - too much acid.
The good arugula taste is significantly weakened. The other flavors, such as leather, sherry, apple sweetness & lightly spiced oak are not up to par.
    • Finish
Dry sherry, leather, salt, spicy apple and oak juice.

      Sweet and full. Quite intense.
    • Taste
      92 92
A strange combination of spicy and sweetness, in a positive way.

Give it time in the glass, and it opens up even more.
    • Finish
      92 92
      Long, the spices now dominate.
