  1. Ivynor scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

A good product, maybe a little too simple in my memories, but well done. To re-test because my tastes have changed.
    • Nose
Powerful, on the green apple and a little citrus (a little side arran sauternes)
    • Taste
a little fat, sweet, on lemon, honey, green fruits and floral notes. The end of the mouth is reminiscent of cough syrup, in contrast with the first attack, quite fresh.
    • Finish
Pleasant, sweet, candied and fresh. A little more wood here.

  3. Dutchmill scored this whisky 90 points Expert Junior

Special whisky, because of the savoury tones.
    • Nose
vegetables, green fruits, pepper, tarragon, mint, borage
    • Taste
tingling, bitter, coffee, ammonium chloride, grapefruit, buttery on the tonque
    • Finish
      ash, salt, mint, long

  4. tomy63 scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Note: 88/100. The nose was a little above the rest
    • Nose
you can feel the work of the bourbon cask (even if it's not bad), with vanilla and a light oak. Many fruits too, lemon, citrus and a little exotic: banana especially, coconut. A little honey, wax, and white flowers. Very expressive. Very nice nose.
    • Taste
Entry is quite brisk for 46%, the start is in line with the nose, with citrus fruits and exotic fruits, but it stops after a few seconds to give way to vanilla, wood, and some spices too. The nose was better. It's pretty cool though.
    • Finish
nice length, a bit dry, on honey, vanilla

  5. Sjors scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

    Very nice Glen Elgin.
    • Nose
Some fresh wet cut grass, honey and some tropical fruits

      (bananas)
    • Taste
Oily, sweet some bitter oak and again tropical fruits.
    • Finish
      Long sweet and spicy aftertaste.

  6. PierreDH scored this whisky 89 points Expert Junior

A very nice nose, very fruity, very sweet, heady flowers. On the palate, the fruits are always there plus a little round, creamy side. For 110 €, it is clearly a good investment;)
