http://kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=293 Colour: Bernstein copper Nose: Very salty-spicy start. The sherry barrel leaves its mark! Heavy aromas of orange (peel), all sorts of nut variations, fine wet wood, sweet malt, honey, some smoke and old cardboard - the whole involved in an invigorating mint. Taste: Mint, eucalyptus, spicy Chinese grass, peppermint, wrapped in dry woody notes. In addition, there are nuts, caramel, honey and now with voluminöserem wood content and lots of fresh notes. The fruity part is unfortunately more or less completely suppressed. Finish: Long - after the strong woody freshness has subsided, the fruit returns better to the surface. Raspberry and wild berry with wood bark and bright tobacco leaves - a slightly tart aftertaste is still on the tongue! Comment: The taste is already rather oblique (... for our feeling!) 88 points N: 91P / G: 85P / F: 88P

A very solid malt, Top Notch, albeit a little too complex, with water, he looks good on the palette
    • Nose
strong sherry, leather and furniture polish, slightly sour, Brazil nut, damp tobacco, water does not do him so well
    • Taste
first sweet then quickly turn into tart, strong oak and sherry, raspberries and some smoke, with water a little more fruity and sweet, the smoky component comes out of it stronger
    • Finish
long, wonderfully spicy, creamy, heavy sherry and oak flavors, also more fruity with water, after wild strawberries
