- characteristic islay with oozing arm, rotting seaweed on the beach and peppered lemon baskets, with a creamy sweetness!
salt, wet and dried seaweed, greasy peat and peppery spice, crushed fresh lemon and zest.
- This was a sample courtesy of lincolnimp. This is my second Port Charlotte and certainly won't be my last.
- A high quality dram, hit every spot, wonderful.
This has such a gentle nose, sausages fresh from the butcher, some floral notes and a cold winters morning on the beach when the tide is out and there is lots of seaweed.
This is very subtle on the palate and goes down a treat , there is some citrus and cream cracker. A well balanced dram, nothing over powering.
A nice long pleasant finish, and little doughy, but in a good way.
- I like it, smooth considering the high abv
