Distilled on the island of Mull, this Ledaig owes his rich aroma and his delightfully smoky echo of peat-dry barley and peaty water, fed from springs originated from the Moine Thrust. This tectonic rejection divides the scenery of Mull up to the mainland of Scotland and forms the border of the old caledonic mountain chain. The history on the label comes from Robert Butler, professor at the university in Aberdeen who deals for many years with the Moine Thrust.
