What a great whisky. This is complex and powerful, malty and fruity. It has many layers, doesn't bore you and is very friendly overall.

A good combination of spirit and maturation. The malty character is present, together with citrus (mainly lemon). It's rather chalky too and it reminds me of a good Riesling. On the other hand, there is wax, honey, coconut and pineapple cube.
    • Taste
      90 90
Medium to full body, relatively sweet associated (barley sugar, vanilla) but with a nice acidity (citrus, pineapple, gooseberry). It is still rather malty (with cup cake, biscuit and the like), and only slightly herbal.
    • Finish
      89 89
Long and complex. It's malty and fruity as stated before, but now also a tad smoky even (wood smoke??). Further there are some spices that deliver a light dryness (but pleasantly).

Sweet and refreshing in the smell, varied and spicy in the taste, rather earthy and heavy when you say goodbye. This rose bank actually shows three different faces and always remains exciting. With a little water, it becomes more balanced when drinking. Even without it, it becomes cloudy in the glass extremely quickly. nicely layered, with tones of citrus, and flowers, the finish is perhaps the best part of it.

    Colour: Old gold-amber.
Nose: Very nice and sweet sherry nose, very fruity,
grassy, sugary, on ripped peach, melon, orange and tangerine. Surprisingly
    complex.
Taste: Sweet, spicy, grassy, fruity, floral, creamy, malty, fresh,
floral, on toffee and rucola. Complex. The finish is long, round, sweet, fruity
    and malty.
General Impression: A deliciously sweet and complex Rosebank.

    A nice Rosebank, no
doubt about it, but not a grand one.
    • Nose
      This is a typical
Rosebank from the very first whiff. Breakfast cereals and citrus. But then immediately I get loads of
      flowers. Dandelions, violets
and buttercups. All within the acceptable, mind you. Honey and vanilla. Becomes creamier as we go. With water it becomes slightly more vegetal.
    • Taste
      Very creamy on the
palate, well seasoned and fiery. The ABV has a lot to do with that, I am sure.
The flowers remains, but the citrus is louder. Cinnamon and ginger. Touch of oak. Woodspice. Nice. It can take water, but does not need it.
    • Finish
      The finish is pretty
long and fades on a spicy sweetness.
