Good, tasty, drinking whisky every day, but better in the summer!

Interesting nose, full-bodied, but overall quite one-dimensional. Easy drinking, fits a summer evening
    • Nose
Pretty dirty nose, subtle hints of cowshed and juicy peat. Green cereal notes, paired with forest honey and heather. The Sherry.Früchte are very reserved, rather only grape pomace with about sLösungsmittel.
    • Taste
He comes with lots of sweetness, Turkish honey and love apple. Alcohol tingles softly, replaced by ripe mirabelles, oily rolls the paint through the mouth
    • Finish
The sweetness dominates, a very plums-rich finish, but quite short and without any bitterness

  5. Hobbit did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

I like it! Really beautiful barrel influence and very tasty due to the buttery notes.
    • Nose
Heavy deep nose, light cherry flavor, rather restrained, raisins, nuts, caramel, sweetish creamy, the sherry is noticeable but very discreet, red apple, a hint of plum, malt, plum cake with butter crumble. Increasingly sweeter and more fruity with more plum. Makes it really nice again and gets very fruity (plum / cherry)
    • Taste
Plum, spicy oak, pleasant power, orange, dark chocolate, cherry porridge, subtle caramel, for 43% nicely full, very tasty
    • Finish
Nuts, oak, chocolate, fine creamy sweetness, butter, malt, plum, medium-long

I like it. For the then price (about 40 €) a delicious malt.
    • Nose
The sherry is there, but not too hard. Is probably because of the refill Cask. I like that when there is something else besides the sherry. Add to that a dirty / dirty touch, as I have often had with Aultmore. The flavors could all be a bit stronger, but at 43% it will be difficult. As the good ThinLizzy already wrote, he needs some time in the glass. Then apricot and quince jam are added. Overall, it is sweeter and the dirty joins the sherry in the background.
    • Taste
The taste is then very soft and slightly creamy. The alcohol builds up over time and remains rather weak. There is also a good portion of oak. In addition candied fruits and chocolate.
    • Finish
The finish is rather short, but at the end it is very nice chocolate and sherry. The oak is here again. At the second swallow, the oak presses down nicely.
