Tried this one at The Feathers Pub in Toronto, Canada.

    Colour: Rich Gold

Nose: Rich heather honey, barley sugar, raw cereal grain, light sulphur and mustiness, vanilla, sea salt, caramel, fresh grass and woodsmoke

Palate: Rich mouthcoating beeswax and honeycomb, Vanilla, oak tannins, honey nut Cheerios, cocoa, apple, tangy lemon citrus and modest woodspice

Finish: Medium to long with wax, lemon and potent oak

A lovely waxy and honey blast of a dram from Tomatin during their peak years of production and relevance in the Scotch world. Definitely try this one while you still get the chance!

  2. hs305 scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

[September, 2011]  Together with friends I emptied a bottle that I bought for 59 Euro in May, 2004.

    In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 90.  I took no notes.
