Whisky Reviews for Glenrothes 1980 Sc

The aroma is thick, fat, sweet: a lot of honey, wax, orange marmalade, preheated dried fruits, sugar syrup, fresh boards in the sun, lacquer, ginger, sweet spices, light minerality (dust). Very good! The taste is sweet with sourness, hot: pepper, vanilla, fresh honey, oranges with zest, marmalade, dried fruit, oak. With a drop of water sweeter, roundish, sherry. In the end, bitterness. Delicious! Aftertaste : honey sweetness, pepper, vanilla, citrus, slightly astringent oak with bitter taste. Long, warming. Conclusion . Beautiful age-old Glenrothes. I love this whisky. Thick, fragrant, honey-citrus, sweet, sunny. You can play with the water. Grade 92 (n24t23f22b23).
