Whisky Reviews for Springbank 10-year-old

- Nose wet wood, wet dog, light smoke and orange peel. Full-bodied, powerful and cocoa-like, coffee, sweet texture, very well integrated alcohol. Long finish with woody content. Good.
- I found this to be a fantastic Springbank. It has this musty nose, but then in a good way :) The finish has this gun powder like spice in it. Marvelous.
Tasted a glass from Jurgen at the WFNN 2015.
- A great success. A very good whisky. Rich, bewitching.
A very interesting nose; encaustic, fig, wet wood (but not rotten - as undergrowth), wet hair and honey.
In the mouth, it is clearly oriented towards cocoa, coffee. It's very nice. Powerful of course, but full, syrupy. Alcohol is very well integrated.
Wrapping, long, powerful and a little woody.
- Enjoyable. Water brings out more fruit and some softer spices.
Sweet dessert wine. Iodine. Brine. Dried walnuts. Oiled leather.
Oily. Port (must be the Madeira). More brine. Creamy caramel. The Maderia has not totally taken over the distillery profile.
Long, sweet, dry, and spicy. Burnt pastry. Oak.
