Usually I'm not that fond of Littlemill, because of the 'chicken liver' character which is not my cup of tea. This Littlemill doesn't have that (may be masked by the sherry influence?) and makes it very good in my opinion.
    • Nose
Lots of vanilla sweetness to start with. But also orange marmelade, mango and raisins. Coconut. Christmas cake. Marshmellows. Hints of sherry. It's all very fresh and accessible.
    • Taste
Lots of dried fruits now with a spicy kick of pepper. Accacia honey. Lemon as well. Nutiness. Cedar wood. Chocolate. Quite creamy.
    • Finish
Long, hot and sweet. Chill pepper and carraway. Cinnamom. Tanninic.

Certainly not an easy one to handle at the start. Give or take 30 mins to develop and feel the burst of tropical fruit goodness, as well as a nutty composure enveloping the corner of your mouth. No meat taste here, its a herbal fruity and nutty dram.

Slightly spicy and fruity from the get go, chocolate, red plums, dried kumquat orange, dried cacao powder, milo, ovaltine, ginger, rum baba cake.

After opening up, hazelnuts and milk chocolate show up bringing rise to cherry infused wine.
    • Taste

Starting gets a lil bit salty and sour. This instantly reminds me of a french dish, Coq au vin - wine roasted chicken, potatoes, swede, turnips, garlic, lemon punch, grape juice, thick and dense merlot grapes. Lychee, longan and Korean white pears.

Various spices include cinnamon, parsley, pepper and basil which are the few I can get my tastebuds upon.

At a certain point, I had noticed mangoes and banana toasted bread. Some of that orange citrus develops here, instead of acidic more towards a sweet marmalade like jam.

Very long, nutty sensation paired with a minute amount of tannins. Slightly dry, from the tannins but overall a pretty solid finishing.

N: Bourbony, i.e. vanilla and coconut, very perfumy. Then hazelnuts, chocolate, Nutella spread, massive! Cola, citrus, apples, really alternating between the fresh and chocolatey notes every few minutes. Mincemeat, even hints of Ardbeg citrus/smoke combo. And cinnamon, too.

M: Washing powder! Vanilla, Citrus, hot. Some fruity hints but predominantly washing powder, Persil in particular. Lots of chalk, too.

Nose was fine and exciting in a way but the mouth ruins it.

Nice and spicy this one. I like it. I have found this spiciness in sherried Littlemills before.
    • Nose
Rich, fruity, ginger cake, ripe plums, gooseberry, sultanas and prominent sherry and orange peels.
    • Taste
Orange liqueur, dried peels, rich dark syrup sponge, ginger, cinnamon and a little mocha.
    • Finish
Long, spicy and sherried with the orange staying until the finish
