Angus explained that the blended component was Edrington stock which was married in 2001, so likely featuring Macallan and Highland Park, some of which might even date back to the 70s. The Aultmore butt was sourced from Signatory.
Wonderfully salty, meaty sherry - Decadent staff describe it as being like putting an old leather satchel on your head, and it's a good call. I'd say the target of reproducing an old-style profile has been handsomely met.
Excellent attack, some peat in the mix here (is that the HP?), herbs too. Hugely savoury.
