Quite a smack in the face at first but once it settles down it's nice and creamy. Add some water to release some more of the sultana notes. This is my first lochlea, I've got to say I love the texture of the bottle in the hand.
Caramel, mandarin jam, barnyard, bread/cereal/porridge, acetone.
The nose is quite harsh at first but once you've had a few sips it turns fresh and soft with a lovely creamy vibe. It has some sweetness at the very back
Stone fruit, roasted macadamia nuts, some grassy elements and sultana. It is bright and has an oily/creamy texture that is pleasant on the palette. This leads to some cake/soft bread elements. There is also a touch of mushroom to it and it has a slight hint of sulphur occasionally but very faint.
Nutty, baking spices, sultana. At the very very end of the glass it develops some orange jam in the near-empty glass.
