T: Thick sugary, oily, peaty, rubbery, sappy, salty, seaweed arrival - just as the nose suggested. The whole palate is impressively structured.
F: Fruity peat with violin resin varnish complimented by complex and deep bitter oak notes with dark green seaweed and prawns in a little brine. Long and dynamic finish.
C: On the nose I got peaty [and a touch of sulphured] rubbery sherry notes throughout. It was the only key off-note amongst the many highlights. A fabulous expression demonstrating the results of well matured spirit in a high calibre casks, bottled at cask strength.
