Colour: Gold-old gold.
Nose: Very nice nose, sweet and smoky, floral, on humus,
peat, peach, melon, some berries and a nice oakiness. Quite grassy. Diluted, it
becomes fruitier (melon).
Taste: Hot, fruity, spicy, oaky, smoky, lemony, on
toffee, mint-green tea flavours, with some starchy flavours. The finish is long,
spicy, smoky, on herbal infusion and some saw dust.
General Impression: A very good Longmorn, surprisingly smoky
and rougher than the 1976 from Mackillops.
