  6. wisekycourse scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    GLENDRO 12 basic of 1985!
    a pronounced taste on red and yellow fruits in compote, on spices, on wood
    on the palate, it is the fruit that dominates, a little sweet, a little vanilla, the tannin is sweet, a little dry, a little grassy too, but very soft, not incisive and not too spicy;
    macerated and stewed fruit with peach, mandarin and white grapes.
    final of medium length, on the same scents with raisin there

  7. detachedblue scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    This is a classic sherried whisky, very balanced, not a sherry monster if you ask me. Dangerously drinkable.
    • Nose
      Fresh banana, the sherry is not dominating, classic 70s distillate, mellow, grapes
    • Taste
      Very good, sweet minty orange, apricot, candies and fresh grapes
    • Finish
      Grapes, dark chocolates, medium to long
