Spicy. Cardamom. Waxy. Pineapple. Apples. A bit chemical. Grapefruit
Really spicy. Pepper now. Bitter, grapefruit. Campari dry, Chemical
Medium to long length. Slightly metallic. Dry. Chemical
- gold color, very fresh nose, citrus, lemon, floral notes, eucalyptus, wax, vanilla, exotic fruits in the background. On the palate, tangy, almost "tense", lemony, exotic, a little spice on the finish. Final very long.
- A perfect dram Dr.
Full and delicate, sweet tones of honey, warm cherries and apples. Also a bit of vanilla and wood
Follows the nose, a little prickly but subsiding fast. Again warm apples and cherries and now a bit more caramel. Smooth on the tongue
Warm, smooth and a bit prickly, all at the same time. Finish subsides and leaves a soft and pleasant after taste
- Very nice profile, explosive exoticism really fun. Do not swim very well. A little wood anyway, which costs him a point. Tasted blind.
Superb fruity, thick and greedy. Very exotic. Honey, wax. Slightly smoky, kind of nonsense. Nice spices, nutmeg and anise. Rum baba.
Spicy attack, the fruits quickly take over. Superb exoticism, it fills the fruits. A little more wood, this is not a problem. Good power. A little ginger.
Long, fruity, warm and spicy.
- Longmorn 1976 tends to show more citrus fruits compared to 1975 vintages. That's not the case for this Perfect Dram: it's very warm and fruity and the jammy / beehive / pastry notes make it exactly to my liking. I dare to say it's my favourite Longmorn among the releases of the last two years.
Right. This has the same pastry and honey notes as the Malts of Scotland version. It develops on huge beehive notes, warm wax and all kinds of jams (apricot, mandarin). Papaya, overripe gooseberries and honeydew melon. Butter biscuits with almonds. Subtle mint, vanilla and cinnamon. Intensely fruity and getting warmer by the minute.
Oily and thick, almost a diluted jam with a lot of warm fruity notes (ripe apricots, plums, melon), evolving to citrus notes (oranges, pink grapefruit) but overall much less citrusy than the other 1976's. Faint leathery notes. A little cinnamon, ginger and mint, but low on plain woody notes.
Llong, fruity and slightly mentholated. Drier notes only show in the very end.
