Whisky Reviews for Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon

- Good alrounder bourbon
- Not bad as an entry benchmark bourbon, but it's not as integrated as other entry level official bottlings of bourbons I've tried from the distillery.
Sweet and yeasty-sour rising dough, walnut and almond oil, vanilla and cherries, citrus and brown sugar, mixed spices (nutmeg, ginger, coriander, dill, and turmeric) and oak.
Brown sugar and mixed spices, a touch of autumn leaves and nut oil, vanilla and almond, and cinnamon dusted dried dark fruits.
Dark chocolate cherry cordials, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and oak.
- N- Sourish honey with waves of spicy grains, rye-ish, corn syrup and sweet bbq sauce. Woody notes of paper, plum and maple.
P- Sticky and spicy, fragrant menthol mouthwash. Rough and generic bourbon.
F- Short-medium with abundant of heats, dry, peppery and spicy.
— at The Whiskey Bar, Kuala Lumpur.
- No masterpiece, however, not expensive. Thus, okay.
Artificially sweet, somehow like the green apple "Hubba Bubba" chewing gum. Citrus fruits, lemon foremost. Hints of cacao powder. Muscat. The typical dusty corn aroma.
Very sweet, a bit too much. Caramelized corn. Dark chocolate, only some hints of bitter and toasted oak.
Short and one-dimensional finish, not intense. Still sweet, some roasting flavor.
- A great everyday bourbon. Nothing fancy but always dependable
