- Beautiful exotic fruit forward 76 benriach
- Without water it's a bit too alcoholic for me. With 3 drops of water it is much more feasible. It's good, but that's all I taste is unfortunately grapefruit. And I'm not a big fan of grapefruit. I think it lacks a bit of complexity.
- Tasted after the # 3551. Alcohol is a little more present here. A wooded side is present where the # 3551 was really focused on the exotic.
Passion fruit and coconut. Vinous. We also feel a little caramel.
In addition to being fruity, the palate is also woody and very noble.
Long finish, spicy, woody and fruity.
- A fantastic Benriach!
An amazing fruitiness (passion fruits, grapefruits, zest and mango). I get hints of vanilla, quite a bit of oak and wet tobacco. I also find clear notes of eucalyptus.
Very fruity indeed....loads of passion fruit and grapefruit toghether with some bitterness. Nice and spicy with less oak compared to the nose.
It has a medium long and a bit dry finish.
- Benriach 30y 1976/2006, 53%, OB for La Maison du Whisky, cask 3557, 222 bottles - Speyside - 95/100
Man, what a sublime nose! Fruit bomb. Orange, grapefruit, apple, passion fruit, pineapple ... you name it, it's all there. But it does not stop there, he is also sweet (honey), has something of flowers (do not ask me which, fauna & flora was never my strongest terrain), farm? Keep on evolving ... A subtle hint of peat, matter of finishing the picture. As much fruit in the taste, same species as in the nose. Vanilla. Pepper too, more towards the end. Superior Earl Gray. Blessed be the Lord! I do not think I'll drink something better soon, I think. Superb finish, long and - it has to be said - super-fruity. And this Benriach is oh so easy to drink. Man, this is feast! Those remaining 2cl fear I do not have a long life ... http://onversneden.com/2012/10/19/benriach-1976-extravaganza/

A floral and fragrant nose, the attack is on vanilla and honey.
The nose evolves
then to spices, pepper and typical exotic fruits
of this vintage: pineapple, mango, passion, melon.
Wood is less
present that was 2014, the fruit and honey much more.
The also a
wonderful freshness for a 30 year old whisky.

meaty notes appear and spices are no longer present.
On the palate the attack is directly on the exotic fruits: a

of spices on the finish, with a persistence of fruit and
vanilla. This version of BenRiach 76 is the most fruity I've ever had
tasted, exuberant as I like.
