Cloudy orange rests in the Premium Snifter, oily and greasy "legs" adhere to the glass wall. Minimally peat and smoke rise fruity from the glass, bewitchingly sweet grapes and berries come into their own. Maritime notes are released from the dominant sweetness, salty algae and floral elements emerge. Suddenly there is an incredibly dominant hint of hissing in the air, the nose looks extremely perfumed. The first sip flows gently through the palate. Spicy oak and minimally smoky peat immediately take command with the sweet berries, here and there the scented soap note flashes through the bewitching and fruity sweetness. Salt and black pepper suddenly stick to the tongue and heat it up properly. The different flavors harmonize perfectly with each other, caramelized sugar and hazelnuts have an earthy and peaty finish.
Smoky peat and sticky sweetness on the palate rest comfortably warm, brine dissolves from spicy wood. Tobacco and leather are minimal, as are hazelnuts and dried berries. The aftertaste fades away creamy and greasy and leaves a satisfied grin on my face ...
