pleasant light summer dram for every day!
Light, fresh. Candied pieces of lemon, lime, ginger. Summer meadow, clover. Sand. Warm stone wall.
Lemon cream with mint. Green apple. A touch of nougat. Hazelnut.
- Nose clearly fresher. Big apple. Minimal smoke in the background. Very sugary again.
Fresh, tangy. Alcohol nicely integrated and pushes you on well. Again a green apple and minimally peated.
Deliciously tasty, nice summer dram
- Considering the vintage you would expect a fruitbomb, but that must have developed over decades of ageing. At 5 it is pure old highland style: think Banff! Full of wax, apple peel, walnut, lemon, pollen, hints of mustard and very grassy. So it's austere and distillate-driven, while staying well balanced and 'smooth'. Only 5 years!
