    21 Irish sweetness!
damage of the finish, otherwise the note would be much better!
    • Nose
very fruity on Madeira, red fruits, white fruits (apple, pear) cooked and raisins
      woody as intense
some vanilla and sweet caramel, some chocolate
      great sweetness and very nice
    • Taste
fruit still on the fruit cooked, macerated and maderized, but fresh and fruits also on red fruits
Sweet, sweet spices, a little on sweets!
      still soft wood
an incredible sweetness that leaves on the other hand, can be due to the low alcoholic degree?
    • Finish
      sweet scent
      creamy
      soft woody
but scents that do not hold much!

Slightly maderised nose, mint, cereals and prune, all well wooded, with a hint of lemon and sherry. A very frank mouth, with cereals, grain, it is very "pot still", but quite subtle, the final is nice.

I think the ghosts are different in this dram. But if you remain attentive as an Irish fan, it turns out that this kind of maturation is always worth a try. If then the PLV still fits the demanded price, everyone has to decide for themselves. He is a bit too inconspicuous for me. Under 100 EUR he could be home whiskey

Only one word fits: fruit basket! But really something of versatile and delicious. Do not want to count fruits individually, because he does not have. No dominant fruit, which is worth mentioning. But a tasty nose. Respect.

Oily and soft, intense and graßig sweet with fruit notes extra. So a little the feeling of a whole hand full of wine gums. Really special! Also malty enough to be a delicious Irishman. Here the price does not bother me anymore. But, very spicy. Wood opponents caution.

Medium to long but simple and dry. He stays sweet and does not get bitter. But the finish could be more exciting.

The Bushmills is very fruity. Rather yellow fruit. With his 40% he is unfortunately a bit weak on the chest. Again, the not so beautiful note for me that I somehow always Irish, represented. I call it an artificial fruitiness and sweetness.

He does not hurt and is good drinkable. However, I do not need a bottle of it.

Irish whiskeys and I will probably no longer be friends. I have so far, as I said, always this artificial fruitiness and sweetness disturbed. At Bushmills, this is relatively strong.

    Maybe a bad sample?
    • Nose
      Apple, strawberries, raisins, vanilla, rummy
    • Taste
On the watery side, vanilla, light sherry, coffee, strawberries
    • Finish
Not much flavour, a tad bit of wood, artificial sweetness, nutty, light bitterness

  10. malthead-sven scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

The 21 years you notice him in his deep fruitiness and elegance, has mature approaches, especially in the taste, to the typical Bushmills fruit, unfortunately the 40% paralyze him something.
    • Nose
Rose petals, lemon peel, honey, light roasted aromas, more subtle come more ripe fruit, cotton candy, apricots and a few vanilla pods, sweet and soft
    • Taste
ripe yellow fruits, unfortunately also a bit watery, very sweet and creamy, tame on the go, juicy dark oranges
    • Finish
very fruity, mild, unexpectedly long but almost tender, barely tingling, yet noticeable oak
