Whisky Reviews for Knockdhu 1974 GM

- A simple profile but I enjoyed it even though in final analysis I felt it was a little rough.
Strange nose I get cheese and pineapple, actually if that was on a cocktail stick it would be ok?
There are white fruits, in the main melon and pear with a little honeycomb.
I also get a little banoffee pie..
For 40% it has a bit of a kick and is quite hot. I find it sweet on fruit notes with a hint of caramel.
Its a little dry on slight coffee notes mixed in with the melon and pear.
Medium length and still a little hot.
- Must agree again with Mr. Martin.
Nose is quite pleasant and sweet. Melons, pears and some marzipan even. Slight citrus or can that be orange ?!
On the palate is gently sweet without being complex at all. Not so much going on here.
Finish is dry and medium long.
- Not the best G&M Brown Label I've ever tasted. Just not that expessive as others in this range.
Malty and yeasty. Sweet fruit (melon and pear). Cardboardy. Hints of smoke.
Soft and clear.Oranges and mandarines. Very gentle. Also smoke again.
Long and dry. Some spice which remains for a while.
