This tasted like a watered-down version of the local barley 2022. Still good amount of complexity and volatility packed with just 46%, rather easy-going due to the lower ABV. Can't say no to a bottle at £65.

Floral. Lemony. Star fruits. Brine. Trace of fresh oaks in a dunnage warehouse. Subtle sweet fruits mingling with vanilla at the back. It's a dram for the spring season, with flowers and fresh grass sprouting from the wet soil. Slowly getting more runny honey and vanilla.

Honey. Juicy oak. Still tasting some citrusy but not comparable to the nose. Heated peppery spices alongside a handful of mixed nuts. Toasted oak. A touch of bitter/minty herbs, adds weight but is not disruptive—just a hint of smoke at the back to round things up.

Short finish with a touch of waxy oak carrying it towards mid-finish. Vanilla. Juicy fresh fruits. Soft peat lingering. Slightly drying at the very end.

Quite a gentle and approachable version of the Springbank 10. A little less earthy and less coastal (although those notes still present), and more floral and salted honey notes on the nose, mixing in with the classic mineral, sweet herbal and buttery notes on the palate. Prickly wood spice on the finish, along with gentle smoke and liquorice. Delicious while not having quite the same depth and density of the 10.

Caramel, salted caramel to be exact. Slightly salty seabreeze. Cornbread and shortbread. Springbank funk- dunnage warehouse, and a sooty finish. Reminds me a lot of the standard 10 yo. A bit sharp/hot finish but good. Starting at 87 and ending at 88. I also did a side-by-side with the standard 10 and found them to be very similar and the same overall quality, but this was a bit more vanilla and salt-forward than the slightly rounder/richer cask makeup of the standard (and excellent) 10. The more time you spend with this dram, the better it gets.
