- At first shy, then very complex with fine sherry notes. Very nice whisky.
- A whisky that demands you. You can not even drink this on the side, otherwise you miss too much, especially in the nose. A great malt. I am glad that I could try it.
wow is the musty, cowshed, musty, nut, dry sherry, leathery, dark fruits, marzipan, dried oranges, which already has pepper in the nose, the grip strength is full, mint is also present, now makes the nose short and If something gets fresher, then it gets spicy with iodine, old leather and something in the direction of caraway, rarely so varied a nose smelled, which has also received good oak flavor
now also sweetish, a little bit of sulfur, again musty, intense sherry notes, plum mustiness, but now again drier, becoming, salty, herbs are also present, now has something floral, behind it again the oak cargo, intense and heavy
Sounds slightly sulphurous and moldy, nuts, some fruit is still there
pleasant dram. Even undiluted, this is very drinkable. You’d have to like a
touch of sulfur though. The parallels to the old 46% Lasanta are staggering,
but this Tobermory exhibits a little more depth.
fruity; grapefruit, orange rind, and unlit matches. This is rather dense at
this strength. Hydrogen-peroxide, like you’d smell in a hair salon. With some
air it turns more winey. Raisins, dried figs, and… motor oil? With water, the
sour-sherried sulfur impressions is amplified. This reminds me of an imaginary cask
strength Glenmorangie Lasanta now.
Full on juiciness! There is quite a journey ahead. Alternating between saw dust,
nuts, licorice, and sweet toffee. Good stuff! This is rather old-school.
Sultanas, candied grapes, and with water; tons of caramel. Honeyed almonds, and
a touch of mentholated milk chocolate.
Pleasantly tannic, with vanilla and toffee.
