Whisky Reviews for BenRiach 15-year-old Tawny Port
49 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.52 points
- A good, simple wine finish - a rolled port over a stiffened base - at first like the dominance of a barrel, but soon the base breaks through and takes its own and so on in all the sotavlivayuschih, except that in the aroma of the barrel it is possible to maintain excellence. If you like porto in general and porto in whisky in particular, then you will have to taste it.
Sweet, fresh, port, raisins, flower tones, light lemon notes, malt, wet grains, boiled vegetables - potatoes, carrots.
Port wine, ginger, red oranges, berry notes, raisins, then the original benthic oak bitterness, a little cream, burnt sugar is cut.
Light oak bitterness, raisin water, lemon in tea, boiled in compote berries, oxalic acid.
- Very nice malt!
Dark brown, it looks very appetizing and it smells immediately extremely pleasant: a mixture of fruity port, oak, raisins, vanilla.
It tastes like it smells, wonderfully intense, strong. The vanilla pushes out, rum balls, reminiscent of Ritter Sport grapes nut.
Not too long finish, but very pleasant in the aftertaste.
