Whisky Reviews for Linkwood 1989 DD
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.25 points
- LMDW Notice: Distilled in 1989 and aged 21, this version of trading bottled to the natural degree under the label Nectar of the Daily Dram, offers a more classic vision of the single malt produced at Linkwood which is reminiscent of the few official versions of the late 90s. Its aromatic register is oriented towards white oak notes marked by the still milky almond with white fruits, grapes, and a subtle floral and vegetal side.
- Tasted at Witch 2011
very fresh, floral and fruity. Especially apple and pear. Much closer to a Lowland than old woody Linkwood sherry.
Very sweet, floral and fruity (always apple-pear), a mint tea side. A bit of orange and more.
a little too short unfortunately this is the major flaw in my opinion.
