    A great standard. Super PGV.
    • Nose
Fruity and herbaceous opening. Butterscotch, ripe apricot, clove and leather. A very appealing profile. Oak is spuerbar, but at the same time floral and pleasantly sweet. The alcohol cools the nose and provides a strong note that does not bother. In the background forest floor and earthiness.
    • Taste
Creamy-pleasant, initially slightly peppery-earthy, then again sweet and floral with apricot, orange, syrup. At the same time herbs and oak, leather and carnation.
    • Finish
Long and slightly dry, oak, dark chocolate, honey and fruit.

One of the best standard 12-year old bottlings on the market at this point in time. Fruity and waxy nose, combined with a full-bodied and slightly sweet taste. Highly recommended bang for your bucks bottle!

Good start, with plenty of fruit on the nose, too bad the palate is a bit more one-dimensional. Still, a very decent entry-level malt, this is.
    • Nose
Slightly farm-y with some nice graininess, accompanied by dried grass and tobacco. It has a touch of pickled lemon peel, as well as some softer orange notes, before progressing nicely into notes of apricots and peaches, and caramel.
    • Taste
Full-bodied and somewhat spicy, with roasted peanuts. Some tobacco and leather, and it is a tad malty too. Finally some bitter oak and vanilla.
    • Finish
After a little while it becomes a bit sweeter. Medium in length.

The way all whiskies should be. Massive 48° for a core range 12 years old. Great improvement from previous releases.  86 points in my book.
    • Nose
Sweet toffee, vanilla, citrus, cherries and plumbs. Hint of oak. Alcohol. Cereal.
    • Taste
Mouthwatering, sweet, soft even at 48°, a little bit of oak in a nice way. Apples and peara mixed with toffe.
    • Finish
      Medium, spicy, oaky. Relaxing

Nose: Floral at first, heather honey, peppery vanilla, buttery oatcakes. Quite complex for it's age.

Palate: Lemon zest, a little furniture polish rears it's head. Very welcome in amongst the vanilla custurd and heather.

Finish: New leather, lemon juice tartness, leads to custard creams and shoe polish. Not as long as you would think but decent legs nonetheless.

Very complex and mature for a 12 year old. Shows that it should be moved up in class by a year or two. The 48% helps to keep the heat and spice, and the un-chilfiltering gives it a little slipperiness.

This whisky convinced me a lot during the second tasting. Spicy in the nose. Complex in the mouth and the finish quite surprisingly spicy and long again. I like it very much. For a standard 12 year old very good. To my taste ..

    N-
Energetic and inviting. Open up with fragrant of polished fig, raisin,
apricot and stone fruits, with fine oaks characters of vanilla, cedar
and cigar smokes drifting at the back.

P- Abundant of woods with lush of chili spicy mouthfeel. Lightly honey, but rather masculine and solid.

F- Long finish. Hint of sweet cherries at the back with pungent spice lingers.
