Glenlossie 15yo 2007
Initially quite tight on the nose, restrained.
Thoughts of Black Forest sponge cake
A classic sherried whisky nose, nothing out of the ordinary
Sweet and juicy
Some salinity, and some spice
Less rich than the nose
Some wood but not offensive
Slightly drying on the finish, mouth watering.
A hint of something perfumed, thoughts of rosehip.
I can’t detect much of the distillery character on this one.
Reduction doesn’t appear to change much except increase the spices a little
For me, a very simple, very sherried whisky.
