As this is of quite a high strength, you should add water imho.
Without water: Sweet, candy, red fruit juice. Little metallic note in the background. Although this is unpeated Ardmore there is still a dirty/farmy note here which I tend to associate with peat.
With water: Now more umami notes show up. Also the farmy note is present.
Without water: High strength, but not burning out of your mouth. Red fruits, some tobacco and chocolate.
With water: Smooth arrival, more rounded sweetness and a hint of chocolate. The oilyness comes up more and more here.
Without water: Long length. There is red fruit and again some chocolate. A little tannic and bitter in the end.
With water: Long length. The tannines and bitterness are almost gone. The sweetness of the red fruit is more present.
